'Confessions' Director Advances in CW14 Star - Krauss Named to Top 10

GREEN BAY--'Confessions of a Sailor' director Kurt Krauss was named to the CW14 Star's Top 10 on Monday, February 18th.

The CW14 Star Competition is the on-going search for the next spokesperson for the local CW14.  The winner earns a one-year contract where they will be the personality that represents CW on TV as well as at public events in the viewing area.

The number 10 position was decided on by voters' choice which garnered the support of nearly two-thousand votes, but in this close race it was a mere 27 votes which separated Krauss from the runner-up.  The Top 9 were selected by competition judges three weeks earlier on Jan. 31st with a total of 17 contestants left vying for the open seat.

Krauss attributes the victory to the tremendous grassroots effort by friends and family who rallied support for him, and promoted the contest in their hometowns, workplaces and through social media.

The new finalist announcement was made Monday at noon on the CW14 website, and has aired on the CW14 TV station and its sister station WLUK FOX11.  See Announcement  Krauss will compete against the nine remaining as contestants are pared down to the Top 5 through a series of factors including popular vote, judges' decision, station input and creative assignments.

The 'Confessions of a Sailor' film is in its later months of post-production, and prepares to premier on Fathers Day 2013, while its official trailer sets to premier at the Wildwood Film Festival, March 16 at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.
