'CONFESSIONS' ACTORS AND MUSICIANS HEADLINE AREA STAGES SATURDAY NIGHT

Saturday night provides some great entertainment headlined by some of the talented actors and music artists of the 'Confessions of a Sailor' film.
GREEN BAY--'Confessions' lead actor Andrew Delaurelle takes the stage again tonight as Don Adriano de Armado in the William Shakespeare comedy classic Love's Labour's Lost presented by the University Theater of UW-Green Bay.

This final mainstage production of the 2012-13 academic year is set in Navarre, where the king and his three lords swear an oath to scholarship, fasting and abstaining completely from the company of women. Meanwhile, the princess of France has arrived to visit the king. Hosting the princess and her entourage in a remote camp, the king soon finds himself love struck. Plots to woo the princess lead to mistaken identities, pranks and broken oaths (from UW-Green Bay's Inside publication).

Performances of Love’s Labor’s Lost will take place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 4 at University Theatre in Theatre Hall. Order tickets online at www.uwgb.edu/tickets or by calling (920) 465-2400 or (800) 328-tkts.

GREEN BAY--Mike Mangione and the Union, the popular folk-rock band, whose music will feature on the eclectic 'Confessions of a Sailor' soundtrack, take center-stage at the Cup O' Joy Saturday, May 4 at 7:30 p.m.

The band’s debut album, Tenebrae, received favorable press from all corners of the country, including the honor of being an All Music Guide Album Pick, while Blurt refers to their “tearstained folk, Memphis-styled gospel and bluesy-flavored pop” as “luminous.” In 2011 they released Offering on their own imprint, RODZINKA Records, with sync and digital licensing by DUALTONE Records. The album and band were nominated for “best of the year” by RadioMilwaukee (88.9 FM), along with receiving other kind and warm accolades.
