'Confessions of a Sailor' took to the water Sunday. In her inaugural silverscreen launch, the Over Easy shipped out into Sturgeon Bay's historic canal for some on-the-water filming.
The Over Easy sailed under the direction of Captain Heidi Wills. The three-hour tour made for a pleasant evening of steady breezes, storytelling, film rolling and gorgeous scenery.
The Over Easy made two successful runs that day, however, in a comical turn of events, the wind dissapated on the third run, and left the crew afloat, going nowhere fast. Quick action on the part of the skipper by way of electric motor brought the team putt-putt-puttering into the shore by twilight.
With a bottle of Andre wine, skipper, crew and cast christened the Over Easy, which is new to the Great Lakes, by toasting to a long career and many sailing adventures to come.
