That's a Wrap!
WISCONSIN DELLS--On Sept. 1, 2012 'Confessions of a Sailor' director Kurt Krauss announced the official wrap for production of the indie maritime film. The filming, which spanned from 2010 to 2012, concluded its last shoot on Friday, August 31.
In upcoming fall months post-production will see several stages of editing as well as ongoing fundraising and publicity efforts.

Steel Bridge SongFest and 'Confessions' Connection
STURGEON BAY--Mike Mangione and the Union took the main stage Saturday afternoon, June 9th at Steel Bridge SongFest as a part of the all-star showcase of talent. Special guest performer Victor DeLorenzo, drummer of the Violent Femmes, teamed up with the band for an epic show. Mike Mangione and the Union are to feature in the 'Confessions of a Sailor' film soundtrack.
Among other gifted performers featured in the festival was singer/songwriter Elliot Goettelman. Goettelman appears in 'Confessions of a Sailor' as a Carl D. Bradley crew member.
The Steel Bridge SongFest movement began nearly a decade earlier as an effort to save and restore the historic Sturgeon Bay steel bridge, special to locals and visitors. In need of repair and protection, a non-profit committee formed on behalf of the steel bridge. The music festival was born drawing in artists including Rock-N-Roll Hall of Famer Jackson Browne, Jane Wiedlin of the Go-Go's, pat mAcdonald, Victoria Vox to name a few. Final Filming Days for 'Confessions'
The days of production are winding down for 'Confessions of a Sailor', but the excitement is continuous with the filming days ahead. The final filming dates are Fri. March 30th, Sat. March 31st, and Sun. April 1st.
The production is still looking for additional classic cars from the 1930s, '40s and '50s for filming on Saturday, March 31st.

Maritime Film 'Confessions of a Sailor' A-Float in St. Paddy's Day Parade
The 'Confessions of a Sailor' movie float will feature in the Sturgeon Bay St. Paddy's Day parade this Saturday, March 17th along with the patron of the Irish, himself, St. Patrick.
The St. Patrick's Day parade begins at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sawyer Park on Sturgeon Bay's west side. The parade route will go along Madison Ave, then crossing the Maple-Oregon Bridge to Third Avenue, heading north through the downtown, and concluding on Jefferson Street.

'Confessions of a Sailor' is looking for cars and trucks of all makes and models from the 1950s, '40s and '30s for filming scenes on Saturday, March 31st in Door County, WI.
Looking for an opportunity to showcase your restored ride? We're looking for that classic car to shine on the silver screen. Got an old pickup truck sitting in the yard that served you well in years past? We need those too to serve an important role in setting these scenes.
The original car calls for 'Confessions' began in November 2011. There is still a need for more cars and trucks, so the car call continues.

Extras! Extras! Extras!
The indie maritime film 'Confessions of a Sailor' is looking for people of all ages, and all types of acting experience from none to polished pros, for roles as extras and supporting. Filming will take place morning through late afternoon on Saturday, March 10th in northern Door County. Film Production Returns to Door County
The independent maritime film 'Confessions of a Sailor' returns to Door County February and March 2012 to resume production.
The film is currently looking for community members to fill roles as movie extras, 1930s, '40s and '50s era cars and trucks, and hiring several more experienced production crew members from the region.
