Updates from Post-Production

Fond du Lac--No news, in this case, isn't good news or bad news, just simply 'no news'.  With all the more resolve, the film 'Confessions of a Sailor' will find the solution to its post-production hiccup as 2014 approaches.  In the new year director Kurt Krauss will introduce a video to visually articulate what the setback has looked like, and how the team will go about fixing it.

TECHNICAL PROBLEMS PINPOINTED; SOLUTION BEING REACHED

FOND DU LAC--Big news was released today from the post-production front of indie maritime film 'Confessions of a Sailor'.  In just over one year since the official wrap from production, 'Confessions' pinpointed the technical error that has been the source of their summer-long setbacks in 2013.

In upcoming weeks, a series of media releases will enable those involved and following the creation of this film to know in detail how the problem is being addressed, how they can assist and where progress is being made.  No official date has been set for the premier yet, since previous cancellations.

All Confessions of a Sailor Showings Postponed Until Further Notice

The months of June and July had their fair share of surprises and disappointments for the Confessions of a Sailor film, now closing in on its 11th month of post-production.  August seems to be following suit with more rough waters ahead.

The issues, all technical in their nature, are being addressed and slowly resolved.  Out of respect for the sponsors and hosts of the different events originally scheduled to play the feature, Confessions of a Sailor is postponing all August showtimes until further notice.

'CONFESSIONS' ACTORS AND MUSICIANS HEADLINE AREA STAGES SATURDAY NIGHT

Saturday night provides some great entertainment headlined by some of the talented actors and music artists of the 'Confessions of a Sailor' film.
GREEN BAY--'Confessions' lead actor Andrew Delaurelle takes the stage again tonight as Don Adriano de Armado in the William Shakespeare comedy classic Love's Labour's Lost presented by the University Theater of UW-Green Bay.

This final mainstage production of the 2012-13 academic year is set in Navarre, where the king and his three lords swear an oath to scholarship, fasting and abstaining completely from the company of women. Meanwhile, the princess of France has arrived to visit the king. Hosting the princess and her entourage in a remote camp, the king soon finds himself love struck. Plots to woo the princess lead to mistaken identities, pranks and broken oaths (from UW-Green Bay's Inside publication).

Performances of Love’s Labor’s Lost will take place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 4 at University Theatre in Theatre Hall. Order tickets online at www.uwgb.edu/tickets or by calling (920) 465-2400 or (800) 328-tkts.

GREEN BAY--Mike Mangione and the Union, the popular folk-rock band, whose music will feature on the eclectic 'Confessions of a Sailor' soundtrack, take center-stage at the Cup O' Joy Saturday, May 4 at 7:30 p.m.

The band’s debut album, Tenebrae, received favorable press from all corners of the country, including the honor of being an All Music Guide Album Pick, while Blurt refers to their “tearstained folk, Memphis-styled gospel and bluesy-flavored pop” as “luminous.” In 2011 they released Offering on their own imprint, RODZINKA Records, with sync and digital licensing by DUALTONE Records. The album and band were nominated for “best of the year” by RadioMilwaukee (88.9 FM), along with receiving other kind and warm accolades.

Two brothers, Roy and Ray just a shootin’ the breeze behind Angel’s Bar in Maynard Texas.  Roy’s been out of VitNam for two years now, but can’t quite get used to all the changes that have taken place since he left.  A couple of things do stay the same though, getting’ drunk behind Angel’s, the stars and his love for his 1959 Pink Thunderbird Convertible.  What happens later that night may change things forever for the two brothers.  Lone Star will have you fallin’ out of your seat laughing, but be ready for a little rough talk and subject matter (from Third Avenue Playhouse).
Lone Star is written by James McClure, produced by Rogue Theater, and is recommended for adult audiences. To purchase tickets using a credit card over the phone, call the Box Office at 920-743-1760.
